Holiday Hours, Bonus Payroll and One-time Annual Payroll

Holiday Hours

Please make a note of our 2020/2021 Christmas and New Year's holiday hours as shown below:

If we (AccuPay) process your payroll, please send it early enough to allow timely processing and shipping, if applicable.

If you process your own payroll, please remember to process it in a timely manner, allowing 2 business days for direct deposit if applicable. The cut-off is 1:00 pm for direct deposit.

Bonus Payroll

If you issue Holiday bonuses, please consider one of the two options below:

  1. 1
Process is as an additional amount as part of regular payroll – amount will be shown as a separate pay item, but the net will be aggregated with the employees’ regular pay
  2. 2
Separate pay run – no other pay items will show other than bonus pay. This pay run allows you to either specify the net amount (net-to-gross) or taxes are calculated from the amount you specify (gross-to-net). This method also gives you the cleanest way of showing your employee exactly how much bonus s[he] received.

Please call us to discuss if you aren’t sure, but remember December is an extremely busy season for us.

One-time Annual Payroll

If you are a business owner or an accountant, and we process one-time payroll at the end of the year, please prepare accordingly. We request you to prepare:

  • Your gross amounts
  • Net amounts
  • Custom income tax withholding amounts
  • The 2% S-Corp Shareholder Health Insurance amount (reported for income tax only)
  • 401(k) contribution ($19,500 or $26,000 for those over 50 for 2020)
  • Any other amounts or deductions

When you send your instructions over to use to process, please explain in simple language what you would like us to do. Remember this is custom payroll, and we would rather not make assumptions for your payroll or that of your clients.

Most importantly, please make sure the funds are available. We understand some of these pay runs involve large sums of money and without proper co-ordination, funds may not be made available in the payroll account on time. When we process payroll, we assume the funds are available. So please help us help you (avoid NSF fees).

We wish you the very best of 2020 holiday season.
